KidSport™ Kitchener Waterloo is a committee of the KW Sports Council formed in June 2013 as a result of the need identified and expressed by the community sport clubs, social service agencies, the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo and KidSport™ Ontario.
The Chair is an elected Director of the Sports Council Board of Directors. All members of the KidSport™ KW Management Committee are appointed by the Sports Council Board of Directors.
KidSport™ KW provides grants to help cover the cost of registration fees and equipment to enable children and youth aged 18 and under within Kitchener and Waterloo to participate in the eligible sport or dance programme of their choice.
